123ROLLSROYCE-8-R-V

The 123ROLLSROYCE-8-R-V (TUNE) replaces most Lucas-distributors used in Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T-series.

!! PLEASE NOTE - THIS UNIT IS NOW SUPPLIED AS A TUNE VERSION !! You will therefore need to programme it via a computor.


It also offers :

- vacuum-advance
- automatic dwell
- spark balancing
- automatic power-cut after 1 second
- gearshift retard

The 'factory-setting' for this unit is position '0'. This will give you the original advance- and vacuum- curve as specified for Rolls Royce and Bentley.

The 123ROLLSROYCE-8-R-V should statically be installed at TDC ( end of the compression-stroke ) for cylinder number 1.

Checking the right amount of advance is best done with a stroboscope above 3200 rpm : the total advance crankshaft should be 36 degrees. ( with disconnected vacuum that is )

The 123ROLLSROYCE-8-R-V not only exactly balances the amount of energy for each cylinder, it also calculates the optimum timing for each spark, in order to run the engine as smooth as possible!

The 123ROLLSROYCE-8-R-V comes inclusive a specially designed drive-dog, that connects 'free of play' to the camshaft.
( this way, you can leave your old mechanical distributor complete )
